The Funeral service for Ian Fullalove will be held at Grantham Crematorium, Harrowby Road, Grantham NG31 9DT on Monday, March 4th at 12:30pm. The reception will be held afterwards at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel, Exton, Oakham, LE15 8AH from 14:00. The Village Hall Committee have not organised a Pub Night for several years. We would welcome anyone who would like to organise such a social evening. You may wish to hold it as a charitable event, where proceeds (after Hall Hire and Drinks License fees) can be directed to your chosen charity. A Big Thank You

Poppy Appeal - A message from Shelagh Paige: thank you to all the villagers who donated so generously to the Poppy Appeal 2018. A total of £212.72 was collected this centenary year for the Royal British Legion. Donation in Kind - a message from the PCC: Thank you to Mrs. Sue Scott of Ayston for her generous donation of a Christmas cake, sold in aid of church funds.

Apple Tree Planting

The Ridlington Apple Tree Planters! On Sunday February 20th, some 'hardy' villagers came out and braved the cold weather to plant a community orchard on the church lawn. A total of 8 local heritage apple trees, a mixture of dessert and cooking, were obtained from Stamford Community Orchard Group. This is a National Lottery funded project. Severn Trent – Further Postponement

Severn Trent advise with regret, that there will be a further delay in the replacement of water pipes on Hannah's Field Lane. Ground conditions on their current job have caused some delay, resulting in a knock on effect with the scheduled work for Manton and Ridlington. A courtesy letter has been sent to the villagers of Ridlington and other surrounding villages involved. The date for commencement of work is now re-scheduled for week commencing February 18th 2019.
