Just a few more days to go before the “Talking Lawns” event on Saturday. Thank you to those who have kindly responded. See you on Saturday at the Village Hall at 5:00 pm.

There are still some spaces available. So if the event has slipped your mind or you have changed your mind and would still like to join us to learn more about how to maintain and improve your lawn, please do let anyone of us know so that we can start preparing for the catering.

Hope you can join us on Saturday.

Dear All,

We had a good Parish Council meeting on Wednesday.  The next one in May is also the Parish AGM.  It would be lovely to see as many people as possible.

The village website has been updated, including news about working with Andrew Johnson and Giles Clifton, our ward councillors, to get information from the County which is relevant to the village and which can be passed onto everyone, as appropriate.

Choose a book to borrow or buy from the wide selection of books available in the church:

New this month – a biography of Queen Anne by David Green – thoroughly researched but quite heavy going.

Ditto for the novel “News from Nowhere” by William Morris – now known for his designs – his view of an ideal society where all work should be creative and pleasurable.

Also available, “Fatality in Fleet Street”, another of the Sprigg novels about crime reporter Charles Venables – well plotted and with plenty of clues as befits a 1930’s crime novel.

FOOD BANK COLLECTION – Wednesday, 5th March

Please continue to give generously – UHT milk and juice, washing up liquid, pump hand soap requested

Souper Saturday – 8th March 2025, 12 noon to 1:30pm in the Village Hall

Choice of three delicious homemade soups and bread, followed by fresh fruit.

Donations to be shared between the village church and Save the Children.

Please join us.
