Dear All,

Please see the attached flyer.

It has been some time since we had a pop-up shop, but the Venison Season is back, so we will have some fresh to sell on Saturday 14th between 11am and 2pm.  We will also have fresh new season lamb, Freshly made Lamb, Venison and Beef Burgers, there will also be some frozen pork and apple burgers made by me here in the Castle Chase Kitchen.

We will also have a selection of Frozen Beef.

If you would like to order a specific cut of lamb or venison, please let me know by Monday evening, and I will ask the butcher to prepare it for you.

As always, any queries or if you can’t make the shop but would like to place an order to collect at another time please do get in touch with me.

Going forward we are planning to open the shop on the first Saturday of each month between 11am and 2pm, we will see if this is popular, we are very interested in your feedback on this idea, please do let us know your thoughts.

I am always pleased to hear from you between shops if you would like to purchase something, just give me a call or text or even email, and I can confirm availability and arrange a time to open for you to collect or browse.

Kind Regards,
Sue Scott

A big thanks to all who provided cakes, attended or made a donation for the Coffee Morning held on July 26th. A total of £122 was raised for hall funds.

Save the dates…

The next Coffee Morning will be held on: Friday, 27th September and a Social Night will take place on Friday 13th December.

All welcome!

Rutland and Stamford Sound will be joining the Rural Coffee Connect Van in Ridlington on Wednesday 18 September. They often do these pop-up radio events together.  If you are not familiar with Rutland and Stamford Sound, they are a not-for-profit community radio station, led my Station Manager Rob Persani.

They will be erecting a gazebo outside the Village Hall which will be manned by a few volunteers in attendance and Rob Persani will be there, presenting some of his morning show live from Ridlington. They will be there from 10:00 – 12:30.

On the day, Rob Persani will be happy to chat to anyone who has news to share. If anyone in Ridlington would like to talk about any upcoming events or activities, this will be an ideal opportunity to come along.

CHURCH FLOWERS

The year moves on apace and the flowers in our church continue to enhance our services and make it bright and welcoming for villagers and visitors. This month we thank Victoria Bullmore, Margie Wall & Georgina Van Smirren.

THANK YOU
to all who

  • continue to support the monthly collection for the Food Bank,
  • helped ready the church and churchyard for George and Gilly’s wedding – we wish them every happiness in their married life,
  • set up, baked, served and washed up at the four Sunday afternoon teas in aid of church funds – £972.20 raised and
  • so generously opened their gardens, baked and served teas at the Open Gardens event on Bank Holiday Sunday.
