In the light of the proposed local government reorganisation and the possible threat to our county’s status, may I urge you to attend our county service on March 2nd at 3.30pm Peterborough Cathedral?

The service happens every two years and is attended by the Bishop. In this Rutland service we celebrate the people and our county. Rutland is a part of the diocese of Peterborough and has been a part of it for over 500 years. Peterborough Cathedral can hold 2,000 people (more than any Rutland venue) – so let’s fill it!

Please attend and please encourage others to do so. I hope we can have a huge turn out this year as a show of support for our county and its sense of identity and historical traditions

So please “Save the date” for our service of Evensong to celebrate the County of Rutland which will be held at Peterborough Cathedral on Sunday 2nd March 2025 at 3.30PM.
