FLOWER FESTIVAL – CANCELLED

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to proceed with the proposed fund raising Flower Festival which was going to be held on October 9th and 10th.

HARVEST FESTIVAL – OCT 3RD 2021

Our Harvest Festival service will be held on Sunday 3rd October at 6pm.

All welcome at this annual service of Thanksgiving, which will be followed by refreshments – nibbles and wine.

Donations invited for the Rutland Foodbank.

MURDER EH? DEAR OH DEAR, SUCH A TO-DO………….

Yes, but what was the motive?

Come to MANTON VILLAGE HALL on Saturday, October 9th to watch the Ridlington Players weave the murky story of DEATH AT THE DEANERY and all will be revealed!

Bring your own liquid refreshment and glasses and gather for a pre-theatre drink at 7:00 pm. Curtains up at 7:30 pm. Meet the cast afterwards and enjoy an after theatre pow-wow!

NEXT FOOD BANK COLLECTION – SEPTEMBER 15TH

The next Food Bank collection will be on Wednesday, September 15th.

Please continue to donate generously to this worthwhile charity.

The village collection point is in the church porch and items requested include: UHT milk; tinned goods – potatoes, carrots, fruit, and meat pies; noodles; long-life sponge puddings; porridge; cereal bars; crackers and cheese biscuits.

SMALLS FOR ALL

Reviving the collection made in the autumn of 2019 why not ….

Join us by saying “Pants to Poverty” in the afternoon (from 2.30 pm onwards) on Wednesday, 22nd September at 3 Main Street, Ridlington.

We are collecting on behalf of Smalls for All providing underwear for adults and children in need in Africa and the UK. New pants (still in the packaging) – ladies sizes 8-14, children’s ages 3-15, men’s XS – L (black being the preferred colour). New or gently worn laundered bras.

Murder in a small village? Perhaps you have picked up on the BBC Radio 4 programmes or the TV series based on M.C. Beaton’s amateur sleuth Agatha Raisin and wanted to read some of the novels – now is your chance!

Enjoyable, easy reading modern day whodunnits “Quiche of Death”, “Vicious Vet” and “Potted Gardener” all now available in the church.

Please feel free to borrow any of the books which can be found at the back of the church. If you would like to buy one, please make a donation – monies for the church to be passed to Debra Thatcher.
