A time for reflection…. yes it certainly is in so many ways…
The British Legion Poppy Appeal Remembrance Afternoon Tea this year in the Village Hall, was an outstanding success and it demonstrated that when people come together great things can be achieved.
From all of you who attended the event and to the many of you who knitted, baked, donated and helped in various ways – thank you all so much! Your generosity made a hugely positive contribution to the total amount raised. It was an astonishing £761.
We have been reliably informed that the winning prize – “The Stone of Remembrance” a Rich Chocolate Cake – was admired and enjoyed by friends and family.
The work of the Royal British Legion continues to be as relevant today as when it was when it first started.

As we approach the end of the year, thoughts turn to 2024 rotas.
If you would like to assist with magazine distribution, unlocking/locking the church, flower arranging, cleaning, setting up for or reading at services, providing refreshments after services, or mowing the churchyard, please let Debra know.
Stir Up Sunday, 26th November. Meet at 11:30am at the church porch with light refreshments afterwards.
